K Kangaroo Jack's: The former Ayer's Rock. Closed and made into a Mexican restaurant called El Coyote. Owner Larry Snider. (11/2004) King of Diamonds: Sold to Mal Brown 09/2002. Reopened as: Tom Cat. The Kitten Club: Open 7/00. The old Valhalla. Owner Ray Kelly. No photos allowed. "The Kitten Club is a very clean and well decor place. The girls are great looking as well. They won't allow photos so I think the manager is losing some free advertisement. The only shots you could take would be very tasteful so I am not sure what the problem is but then that is his call." seram. "Not too many dancers in here and hardly any were good looking." Bubba. "Big Peter Taylor is managing the bar now and doing a fantastic job. The lineup has improved immensely. The Kitten is open till 4am and is a great little bar." FA (03/2002). "The waitresses at The Kitten Club seem to feel that the tip should be 30% or more of the total bill. Their gig is for all to throw the metal tip trays onto the floor when one is not satisfied with her gratutity. I once had a SM in the place at, as I recall, 55P. I left two 5P coins on the tray. That's 20%! As I walk out the door, all the trays hit the floor to bring attention to the cheap charlie. That was the last time I set foot in the place. Guess their business is better than most of the bars in town, and they can afford to disrespect customers. Funny, but there was only about 4 or 5 other customers in the bar at that time." Eric (10/2002). "I've stopped even stepping foot into the place because it is always empty and the girls are all 'cherry' or 'mens' or too busy holding up the back mirror on the stage. I went in three weeks ago by mistake, not noticing which door I was entering, with my brother, and we left after fifteen minutes of watching the dancers' backs as they were ALL facing the back mirror for our entire visit. The mamasan was too busy doing her paperwork, sitting 4 feet away from the dancers, to notice anything about her girls. Usually most clubs' management will wake the grls up when customers come in. But at Kitten Club, the mirror and paperwork was the priority of the day. I would turn down free drinks if it meant having to sit in there. Too damn depressing. Plus the girls always have some sorry-ass excuse for not going on barfines. They must get paid one hell of a daily salary to refuse barfines and avoid lady's drinks by turning their back to the customer." Norman Gluck (10/2002) Kokomo's: A spacious, casual, comfortable restaurant and bar hangout.
Central location. Extensive menu. This is the home base, so to speak,
for many foreign tourists and locals while out on a bar hop. It's a great
place for meeting people and getting information about virtually anything.
It's open from 9 AM to 4 AM. Besides the restaurant and bar, it has an
large swimming pool with swim-up bar, internet center, laundry service
and a beauty shop/barber shop. No aircon, except in the internet center.
When I'm in town, I eat most of my meals here. "How surprised I was when
I saw improvements all over the place, waitresses were replaced, maintenance
was improved, color got into the place and TWO brand new menus were introduced.
At the moment Kokomo's is my choice of residence before and after the
bars." Jean. "My favorite afternoon
haunt." Tourist Bob. "Like
Margarita an extensive menu, but found service and the food a notch down
from Margarita." Lantau. "Now
if we could just find some way for Mo to light a fire in his help and
speed the service up just a smidgen, of course Margarita is no speed burner
either." WallyWorld. "The addition
of the open air patio has made this the place to be for people watching.
It seems like every girl in town walks by between 5 and 7 in the evening
and it is even better at 2 AM, new pizza menu (the best in town) and Skip's
Ribs has made Kokomo's replace MS as my favourite place to hang out." mjibbo.
"Had a tasty burger and coffee at Kokomo's for dinner. The new layout
is quite nice, and it is one of the few places in town that serves up
brewed coffee." Glupidio (03/2002). "There is a good breeze coupled
with lots of fans and, of course, COLD BREW and some of the best looking
and friendliest staff in Angeles City." Mo
