CIDG officer rapes 'rescued' raid victim in exchange for freedom

Saturday, July 16

A woman who was 'rescued' in the recent bar raids under the excuse of 'human trafficking' was freed from jail after being forced to have sex by none other than one of the CIDG officers who 'rescued' her in the raid.

Around 100 staff, including GRO's, managers, waitresses and even 4 tourists were arrested in raids on Golden Nile, Blue Nile, Blue Nile executive, and Cambodia bar in what seems to be a targeted action against the group's owner, Richard Agnew.

The raids were rather unsuccessful as most of the women resisted and escaped arrest by the police officers whilst cursing and screaming at them. The staff who were rescued completely against their will were rounded up and jammed into one bus whilst being humiliated on TV.
As the bus was leaving the premises, one of the ladies, who were all crying and screaming at this point, pulled the emergency handle with the help of a journalist and another unidentified person who pitied them, triggering the doors to open which allowed most of the ladies to escape the bus, thus further angering the police officers.

4 foreign tourists, including a major potential investor, were unlawfully arrested for no reason and without any warrant of arrest, a serious police offense for which there has been no consequences.  The 4 tourists were released within 24 hours, but not before they were threatened to be locked up indefinitely unless they each paid a P50,000 bribe to CIDG police officers.

The bars were allowed to reopen as there was no evidence of human trafficking found.  Ironically enough, however, various 'rescued' ladies were still locked up against their will for an unknown period of time.
One of these ladies was singled out by at least one of the CIDG officers and forced her to have sex with him in exchange for her freedom. This was done at a nearby motel.

It is clear that these raids, which in no way helps in addressing human trafficking is clearly politically motivated. And whilst doing so, the police officers demonstrate what human trafficking is, through their own hypocritical actions.

Let all the authorities see what this town would be like without the bars. The loss in revenue to the City would be so great, the raids would stop immediately.

So it is actually the foreigner bar owners that hold the real power, The authorities are simply playing on the fears of foreign business owners, with a self perpetuating myth. To resolve this harrassment issue once and for all, the bar owners simply need to agree that they will all close there bars simultaneously for a 3 day period, with no exceptions. preferably a Fri, Sat and Sun. Let the tourists walk around a completely closed Fields Ave.

Angeles City exists because of the clubs and bars. Without the bars there would be no tourists, a very reduced financial income for the City, and a significantly reduced police presence. There would be nobody for the street vendors to sell to, nobody for the trike drivers to pick-up. If all the bars were to close, half of the Police officers in town would find themselves being relocated, maybe to Mindoro?? They are all literally biting the hand that feeds them, in there typicle short sighted way

It is obvious to al, that these raids are politically motivated and have little or nothing to do with human trafficking or the welfare of those girls working in the bars. However, I am concerned by the general opinion that the Philipinne autorities (CIDG,PNP,NBI) have some kind of power over the bar/club owners, and how these powers are being misused for financial gain etc. The actual truth is that these depts. have no power, other than the power that the foreigner bar owners permit.

that's why someone should push greater punishments for public servants who abuse their power. I wonder how they could resolve a single crime, since they themselves are the criminals...WHAT A SHAME TO THE PNP

And that is why I have taken my money out of Angeles City and invested in Leyte.

@CasualTourist: Ah dude, there's no need for that, no matter what happens AC is pushing forward and an exciting place to be and invest, it's growing a few little teething problems that is all. Just look at the investment by a loyal few over the last 3 years, you can be assured these people know what they are doing and can see a great future, it's even rubbing off on the locals who are spinning their own little investments. Great to hear and see it growing,

It is ironic that this so called rescue resulted in the indefinite locking up in atrocious conditions of the very persons rescued. It is disgraceful really, which in itself can only be described as abuse of power and kidnapping where tourists and local dancers are held for ransom, it is unacceptable to carry out such operations in a town where foreign business and investment drives the local economy.

@goodmanners: Look, it's as simple as this. All foreign business in ac is legitimate. All foreign business within Clark is legiitimate, if as you say those 18 agencies are indeed corrupt, well then explain the wealth verses their monthly salary. If you can't explain it, the currupt paper pusher, then has to hand their 4 houses and big suv back to the Philippine goverment. Otherwise stay in Samoa. Yeah that's right, I'm coming for that red house, that you stole from a family in need. You currupt dog

@balibagoexpat: How's it Balibagoexpat? I would think he has running so fast his feet have forgotten what the ground feels like. Believe it or not the Sunday World is claiming full credit fot the above raids. Which is even more ironic, given that the same newspaper every were runs 2 full pages of sex adverts much and far more explicit then the lies Cullen and company have spun on AC. Bar owners should team up and sue the ass of of that paper
