I Illusions: At its present location on Perimeter Road, it's the former Other Bar. It originally started out on Field Avenue at what is now Private Dancer. (04/2005) Insomnia (formerly Voodoo): Open 7/01. Owner is the Insomnia Group Corp. There is a 'marketing alliance' between them and Roadhouse and Confetti's, but other than having each other's beer mats in all the bars it is hard to see what the alliance is bringing. (07/2002). "Shit this place has died! 6 slappers shuffling in front of 3 mismatched ashtrays. The cute girls have gone, a shroud hangs from the stage and the bell looks despondent in its embarrassing loneliness. Even the décor has done a runner." AnonyNoNic (09/2003). "Just been to Insomnia today, filled up with Filipino men. Asked a girl if her boyfriend was there and she said yes to Jung who is the daytime manager. What a shit place to be honest. I don't like hanging around Filipino guys with their girlfriend working the customers. Get a grip of your business or lose us. I'm staying here for two weeks at Kokomo's so I don't hide away. I'm just being honest." Frode Multeberg (10/2003). "I can't say enough about this bar. The lineup looked even better than it did in January 2004. Stunners all around! If you can't find something you wanna take home in this place, well then... you just got problems. Jung stopped in briefly to drink for a few... he's always a good host. I was never one to nit-pick on all the particulars of a bar, but Insomnia seems to have it all just right. Lighting, decor, layout, comfort, aircon, music, volume, # of girls, service... really the class of Field Avenue right now." Jimmy Regina (05/2004). "I spent a few hours very late in the morning at Insomnia, boy has it changed since the last time I was there, girls where a blast and a lot of fun and full of energy for Four in the morning. Manager Dennis has the place going great guns and plenty of girls to choose from, had no cherry or mens problems it was hard to knock back the girls who all keen to bar fine, wife not real keen on me bringing someone home! In general it was a lot of fun and well worth a look and a few beers, the rest will take care of itself." Harro (08/2005) Irish Pub: Closed 11/2001. Reopened as Shamrock. Copyright
