Caddy Shack: "Remodeled and reopened by one of the former owners of Top Hat Bar. Nice cozy place, again, with another one of the recently most-imitated design elements of AC: the fabric-covered ceiling. (I would hate to see how this would react during a fire situation in all those bars.) Attractive and friendly dancers, nice atmosphere, good aircon, pool table with lots of shooting room around it. Another early opener (noon) to add to an afternoon barhop." Norman (12/2002) Camelot: Open 11/2002 at the location of the former TQ. It's part of the Champagne group. "I dropped in to the latest new super bar on Fields Ave. CAMELOT tonight and here was my impression: Camelot looks like an inflated version of Cambodia, almost as if the designer built Camelot as an apology for design flaws in Cambodia. The duplication is unashamedly complete with miles of fake stone lining all the walls and lots of fabric-covering everywhere, same JBL speakers as Blue Nile, complete with large screen TV (ala Neros) and fake fluttering-silk lamp-torches (ala Blue Nile) For the positive, line of sight to the single wall-length stage is perfect from every corner of the room INCLUDING the upstairs balcony (labeled VIP only??) The metal railings erected all over the place seem like they were the largest single consumer of the construction/design cost budget. Upstairs upholstered benches are installed down the center of the balcony so the waitresses / other customers can walk behind where you're sitting as opposed to walking and blocking the view in front of you. Brilliant idea. It's a shame there is nothing much too look at. A few girls borrowed from Brown Sugar next door (which by the way, has really improved their lineup. The beauties are back at Brown sugar!) but almost every single one of them (except for one cherry) looked like they were very severely beaten with an ugly stick. How do you start off a new club with girls who look like that? Also, a club of this size (similar size to Blue Nile) should have more than 60 total dancers, don't you think? There was about 30 waitresses who were absolutely nothing special to look at. (very uncharacteristic for the Champagne group) The waitress uniform is a baggy, lightweight cotton, pygama-style long blouse (which is supposed to look medieval, but does not) with a long black skirt that looks almost padded by the way it hangs off the girl's waists. After writing-off the facial beauty (or lack thereof) of the waitresses, you can't even see if they have half-decent bodies to salvage the overall impression. They are dressed like school teachers or church choir girls (if that turns you on). Whoever designed the uniforms should really rethink their motives. They could have come up with some more suitable and sexy uniforms. The dancer's bikinis could have had some buckles or chains on them to echo the medieval theme. There seems to be an uneven balance between customer seating and stage-capacity. Oodles of customer seats, but a comparatively small and narrow stage. If somehow they got a full house of customers, there would not be a fair ratio of girls dancing. Complete wasted space on top of the bar for a stuffed horse and knight. It could have been an additional large stage connected to the upper balcony. I am not here to look at a stuffed animal all night, I'm here to see the girls, dammit! The distance from stage to seats guarantees an out of touch feeling for those customers seated on the benches on the wall opposite the stage. Sitting on the upper balcony, you feel as if you are over in the next building - it's that far, although a clear view of the stage. LD pressure was non applicable as most of the waitresses were too busy folding thousands of napkins (as if they were expecting an army of sex tourists to storm the place - wishful thinking, unless they were blind tourists). I also couldn't tolerate staying in there long enough looking at those sorry girls. Camelot may aspire to divert the glitz and traffic from lower Fields back to upper Fields, but upper Fields has never impressed me much, other than Brown Sugar. Camelot would have been another excuse to hang out in the upper part, but it falls short of the mark by miles and miles. Fill the place with decent-looking girls, spruce-up the uniforms to make the girls and club look more desirable, and then give me a call. For now, Lower Fields is still king of the hill. But you never know, let's give them a chance to work out the bugs and I'll pay Camelot another visit in a couple of weeks. One constant thing about AC is change. Let's hope Camelot changes for the better. It would be a shame to waste such a pretty place." Norman (11/2002). "One of the best CR's in AC or the PI for that matter." Tony Brown (01/2003). "Nice decor and not much eye candy. Business has really seemed to slow down here a lot." Tomkat2000 (08/2003). "The new mamsans are not really friendly and sociable, but what the heck ! The bar has a relatively great lineup of girls with good quality and there always seem to be customers in the place. The Ld pressure is minimal and I have BF'd three girls from therein the last two weeks with no runer/early-leaver issues and terrific results. Even one of the "menstruation girls" went for a round in the shower the following morning. Surprise surprise. It goes to always indicate, that if the girl really likes you, menstruation becomes a bygone issue. The three girls were terrific in all aspects - performance, attitude, and looks. They stayed for breakfast and lunch the next day, and didn't leave until one hour before their 5:00pm start time. Welcome back to the old original AC! Camelot, with its decor, girls and its combining music videos with its music plays - seems to have the right combination. A note to the papasan: yes, your employers bar is doing well and attractive, but sitting parked at the bar - chain-smoking all night, and refraining any interaction whatsoever, with the customers, is a sure recipe for unemployment in the AC bar scene. When the guy seated beside you at the bar patronizes the place with 5 Ld's, it wouldn't hurt to say a simple hello. When another two customers have ordered over a dozen LD's with a group of girls sitting around them - it is a good policy to say even a simple hello. Camelot has gone through several papasans since it opened - all who had the same social distance. (except for that younger guy from Manila who was living in the Oasis Compound - I forgot his name. He was extremely friendly to the guys. I was sorry to see him go.) Anyways....enough commenting about management - drop in to Camelot - the girls overall attitude seems to be on the right track. The waitresses are non-stuck-up and extremely friendly too. The dancers now actually dance and the place is ALIVE. Norman (10/2003). "Fat dancers everywhere. The only cute and thin girls were the waitresses and GROs. I took home a very sexy waitress from here. Great fun with her but I had to drag her out of the room the next day. It was her day off and she wanted to stay with me for the rest of my stay." Progman (10/2003). "Worst lineup: Camelot. Can you say FAT? Can you say UGLY COSTUMES? Can you imagine building such a beautiful and extravagant bar and filling it up with such an uninspiring bunch of sows?" Kabayo (11/2003). "What a spectacular place. Only thing was both groups of dancers were the worst lineups I have seen in awhile, but plenty of them." Harro (06/2004) Cheetah's Lounge (formerly G-Spot): Open 10/2003. Closed and reopened as Viper. Cleopatra: Name changed to: Sphinx. The Club: "The Club is so dead that many people don't even realize it is still open." Tomkat2000 (02/2003). "Lot's of girls for such a small place but all were below average. There was only one girl that would have fallen on my backup list but only because she had a great set of susus." Progman (10/2003). "Now if you want to feel sad, lonely and depressed The Club is for you. The Club is ugly, damp just yuk and the waitress forgot to bring back my change. A big NO THANKS never again there." Harro (06/2004) Club Fantastic: Another bar left over from the base days. It's a large place with between 8 and 10 dancers, but the quality varies. It was renamed Night Owls 03/2003 following an NBI raid. Club Rio: The former Jolly Frog. GRO, Perimeter Road
bar. The
girls wear 2 different school girl uniforms. The ones in plaid are
cherry.
The ones in solid colors are not. "A number of us decided to go out to
the Club Rio for the afternoon barhop. First of all I would like to say
that they have changed the Club Reo a bit since my last trip. The table
area next to the bathroom is now a stage area with a pole in the
middle.
The stand up tables on the left have been replaced with a booth area. A
VIP room has also been added upstairs. From what I hear they will do a
shooter on Mr. Happy for the price of a ladies drink (100P). I never
did
get up there. They have new ashtrays that you can put pesos in and get
stuff out. Much better than the little tin things they had last time." Mark
T. "Stopped in last trip... next time plan to spend more time
there...
and then some." Rufus (09/2002) Crazy Horse: Open May 6, 2005.
"Went to Crazy Horse opening last night and for the small size it was
big fun, for those who complain about Field's prices Crazy Horse has
all the answers. Happy hour P35 you can't beat that. It's small as I
said so the 12 to 15 dancers makes it look full always so atmosphere is
high. Take time to find it as its worth it down Perimeter on the corner
to the VFW turn off." Harro
(05/2005) Cottontails: Closed. Reopen as Wet Seals, then Doll House. Cuddle's: Closed. This was a go-go bar located in the Park Chicago Hotel. Copyright
